Stanley Voted WIAC Soccer Defensive Player Of The Week

The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh forward Jonathan Stanley as its Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Oct. 20-26.

Stanley recorded an assist and was the defensive leader as UW-Oshkosh recorded shutout victories over St. Norbert College, Finlandia University (Mich.) and UW-Platteville.

Stanley earned his assist on UW-Oshkosh's second goal scored during its 4-0 win over Finlandia University on Oct. 25. Stanley and his teammates helped limit the Lions to just two shots, one on goal.

UW-Oshkosh allowed seven shots in each of its remaining two matches, wins of 4-0 over St. Norbert College on Oct. 21 and 2-0 over UW-Platteville on Oct. 26.

Stanley was also named the WIAC Offensive Player Of the Week for the period of Sept. 29 - Oct. 5.

UW-Whitewater forward Sam Novak was selected as the WIAC Men's Soccer Offfensive Player of the Week.
