Clash Bobblehead Commemorates Titans’ NCAA Basketball Championship

To commemorate UW-Oshkosh's 2019 NCAA Division III men's basketball championship won last March, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum designed and produced an officially licensed bobblehead featuring Clash, mascot of the Titans.

The bobblehead features Clash holding up a newspaper that says, "National Champs!" and has a picture of the team celebrating with the National Championship trophy. Clash is standing on a stack of newspapers with the headline, "Oshkosh Basketball Claims 1st National Championship in Program's 121-Year History!". The bobbleheads, which are the first to feature the UW-Oshkosh mascot, are individually numbered to only 1,000.

The official release of the bobblehead comes just before the second-ranked Titans play their first game of the season Saturday (Nov. 9) at 17th-ranked Augustana College (Ill.).

The bobbleheads are available at University Books & More and the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum's online store, while supplies last.

UW-Oshkosh finished last season with a 29-3 record following its 96-82 victory over Swarthmore College (Pa.) during the NCAA Division III final held in Fort Wayne, Ind. The Titans went 13-1 in league play to claim their 13th WIAC title by three games.

UW-Oshkosh second-year head coach Matt Lewis brings back three starters and 12 letter winners from last year's squad that set school records for wins, points (2,715), rebounds (1,308), made 3-pointers (325) and blocks (148). Lewis, named the 2019 Division III Coach of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, D III News and D3hoops.com, enters the 2019-20 season with the best winning percentage (.906) among all 1,086 active NCAA men's basketball coaches.

Headlining the returning Titans are D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American senior Jack Flynn at center and senior All-WIAC First Team selection Adam Fravert at forward. Flynn was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 2019 Division III Championship while Fravert was also selected to the five-member All-Tournament Team.
