Flynn, Fravert Named To Preseason All-America Basketball Team

Seniors Jack Flynn and Adam Fravert of the reigning NCAA Division III champion UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team were both named preseason All-Americans for the 2019-20 season by D3hoops.com.

Flynn, a center, was selected to the First Team while Fravert was named to the Honorable Mention Team at forward.

The D3hoops.com preseason All-America Team featured five teams comprised of five players each.

Joining Flynn on the First Team were guards Booker Coplin from Augsburg University (Minn.) and Jake Ross from Springfield College (Mass.), and forwards Zac O'Dell from Swarthmore College (Pa.) and Connor Raridon from North Central College (Ill.).

Rounding out the Honorable Mention Team was forward Nate Shafer from Swarthmore College along with guards Brian Cameron from Wesley College (Del.), Romin Williams from Emory University and Ethan Bublitz from UW-Stevens Point.

Flynn, Fravert and Bublitz were the only WIAC players on the D3hoops.com preseason All-America Team. UW-Oshkosh and Swarthmore College led the country with two players apiece on the All-America squads.

Flynn, the Most Outstanding Player at last season's Division III Final Four, averaged 15.5 points and a team-leading 8.2 rebounds per game last season on the way to earning D3hoops.com All-America Fourth Team honors. He scored in double figures 26 times, shot a team-best 59.3 percent from the field and produced 10 double-doubles a year ago.

Flynn poured in a career-high 33 points on 13-for-18 shooting from the field during the Titans' 96-82 victory over Swarthmore College in the national championship game.

Fravert contributed 14.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 steals per game last season. His 61 blocks last year led the WIAC while his six double-doubles ranked second on the team. Fravert was selected to the Division III Championship All-Tournament Team after averaging 16.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 steals per game at the Final Four.

UW-Oshkosh compiled a 29-3 record last season en route to securing its first Division III title. The Titans concluded the 2018-19 campaign with program records for wins, points (2,715), rebounds (1,308), made 3-pointers (325) and blocks (148).

The Titans, who enter the season ranked second in the country by D3hoops.com, open defense of their national title at 17th-ranked Augustana College (Ill.) on Saturday (Nov. 9). UW-Oshkosh then visits third-ranked North Central College on Tuesday (Nov. 12).
