Juckem Named Recipient Of Jack Bennett Award

UW-Oshkosh's Pat Juckem was named the 2018 recipient of the Jack Bennett Man of the Year award by CollegeInsider.com.

This season Juckem guided UW-Oshkosh to the final game of the NCAA Division III Championship for the first time in program history. Juckem's Titans, who have reached the national postseason three straight years, concluded the 2018 campaign ranked second in the country with a 25-8 record.

The Titans' 25 victories this year tied for the most in program history. Juckem, who led UW-Oshkosh past the Division III quarterfinals for the first time, has coached the Titans to three consecutive top-three finishes in the conference standings for the first time since 1968.

Juckem, who has led UW-Oshkosh to a 95-73 record in six seasons, won his 200th career game with the Titans' 73-57 victory over Ramapo College (N.J.) in this year's national semifinals. Juckem compiled a 105-79 mark at Coe College (Iowa) from 2006-12.

Juckem was also an assistant men's basketball and football coach at Lawrence University from 1999-2005 and the head boys basketball coach at Manitowoc Roncalli High School from 1996-99.

Juckem earned his bachelor's degree Lawrence University in 1995.

The Jack Bennett Man of the Year award, in its eighth year, "represents winning with integrity." Previous winners of the award include Pryor Orser from Colorado School of Mines in 2011, Gary Grzesk from St. Norbert College in 2014 and John Pigatti from South Suburban College (Ill.) in 2017.

The award is named in honor of former UW-Stevens Point head coach Jack Bennett.
