Boots Named WIAC Basketball Player Of The Week

The WIAC selected UW-Oshkosh guard Ben Boots as its Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games held Jan. 8-14.

Boots averaged 13.5 points, 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists as UW-Oshkosh recorded home wins of 89-66 over UW-Stout on Jan. 10 and 67-58 over UW-River Falls on Jan. 13.

Boots totaled 27 points by converting 8 of 21 (38.1 percent) shots from the field and 5 of 6 (83.3 percent) free throws. He also made 6 of 14 (42.9 percent) 3-point shots while compiling 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

In UW-Oshkosh's win over UW-Stout, Boots scored 10 points, grabbed five rebounds and tallied two assists in 21 minutes of action.

During the Titans' victory over defending WIAC champion UW-River Falls, Boots scored 17 points and collected five rebounds while compiling five assists and two steals in 34 minutes of activity. Boots counted 14 of his points against the Falcons in the second half.
