Noone Chosen As WIAC Basketball Player Of The Week

The WIAC has named UW-Oshkosh guard Charlie Noone its Men's Basketball Player of the Week for contests held Feb. 13-19.

UW-Oshkosh clinched a share of second place in the final WIAC standings and the No. 2 seed for the league's postseason tournament as Noone averaged 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists in road wins of 67-63 over UW-Whitewater on Feb. 15 and 73-55 over UW-Stout on Feb. 18.

Noone totaled 42 points in 64 minutes of activity. He reached his overall scoring value by shooting 59.1 percent (13-22) from the field, 68.8 percent (11-16) from 3-point territory and 83.3 percent (5-6) from the free throw line.

In UW-Oshkosh's win over nationally ranked UW-Whitewater, Noone scored 19 points and grabbed four rebounds to help the Titans end a 16-game losing streak to the Warhawks. Noone made 5 of 11 shots from field, including 4 of 7 attempts behind the 3-point arc.

During the Titans' victory over UW-Stout, Noone counted 23 points, four rebounds and three assists to help UW-Oshkosh earn second place in the WIAC standings for the second straight year. Noone converted 8 of 11 shots from the field, including 7 of 9 attempts behind the 3-point line.
