Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?
When I was younger, it was a goal of mine to play college basketball. So, when the opportunity arose to play at the collegiate level and receive an outstanding education, I could not pass it up.

What do you like most about competing in the WIAC?
The level of competition day in and day out is the best thing about the WIAC. Every time you step on the floor you know that you are in for a battle no matter who the opponent is.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
There are numerous lessons that being a student-athlete has taught me, but the greatest lesson is time management. Balancing classes, homework, studying, practice, games, and lifting can be overwhelming at times, but it can only help prepare me for the future.

If you have been involved in community service projects, which project has been the most rewarding and why?
Our entire UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team is involved with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, which matches collegiate athletic teams with children who have or had a brain tumor. The ability to see the joy on our child's face, along with knowing the difference we are making for them, is something special.

When you were growing up, what did you want to be?
When I was growing up, I wanted to play major league baseball. Baseball was my first sport, and I played competitively for eight years. I always dreamed of playing for the Chicago White Sox.

What is your fantasy job/career?

My fantasy job is to work in the front office of a professional sports organization. I have always wanted to be involved in a team's decision-making process with drafting, trading and signing players.

     Quote/motto? "
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are." – John Wooden

What is your greatest sports moment?

My favorite sports moment is winning a regional championship in high school by beating both of our district rivals on back-to-back nights. It is definitely something I will never forget.

Your most prized possession is?

My most prized possession is my scrapbook that my mother and grandmother made for me that includes newspaper articles from my entire high school sporting career, college acceptance letters and college recruitment letters. The scrapbook took a lot of time to make, and it is something I will cherish forever.

A non-athletic talent you have is?

I played piano for five years when I was younger, but I don't know if I am any good anymore because I haven't played in about six years.

The best sporting event that you ever attended was?

NCAA Second Round at the United Center in Chicago. I was able to see VCU beat Purdue in their first great run in the tournament, but I was pretty upset to see my favorite college team, Notre Dame, lose to Florida State.

What does your "bucket list" include?

My bucket list includes visiting every major league baseball stadium, becoming a season ticket holder for one of the Chicago professional sports teams, and visiting Europe and Australia.

How would your teammates describe you?
My teammates see me as a smart player with a competitive edge on the court, and a likeable guy with a great sense of humor off the court.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they?
Before every game, I take a moment to imagine myself doing something productive in the upcoming game. Whether it be diving for a loose ball, getting a big rebound, making a good pass, or taking a charge, I do my best to accomplish that in the game.

Your worst habit is?
Biting my fingernails. It is definitely something that I am working to stop.
