Bio

Defensive line coach Mark Angeletti enters his 14th season as a member of the UW-Oshkosh’s football coaching staff in 2021. The 2020 season was canceled due to the novel cornavirus pandemic.

Angeletti is in his sixth year as a full-time member of the staff after previously serving as a part-time assistant coach with the Titans from 2001-02 and again from 2009-14. The 2020 season was canceled due to the novel cornavirus pandemic.

Angeletti, the 2014 WIAC Co-Assistant Coach of the Year, has annually worked with a strong defensive unit. He has coached nine All-WIAC First Team performers, including Brady Heimer in 2019, Trevor Fiegel in 2015, and Cody Huemmer and Alex Smith in 2014.

During the 2019 campaign, the defensive line under Angeletti helped UW-Oshkosh rank sixth in the NCAA Division III with 3.91 sacks per game.

In 2018 Angeletti's defensive line contributed toward the Titans ranking second in the conference in points (14.0) and yards (310.6) allowed per game.

In the 2017 season, Angeletti's defensive line unit helped the Titans notch a pair of shutouts en route to advancing to the semifinal round of the NCAA Division III Championship.

In 2016, Angeletti helped UW-Oshkosh reach the Division III championship game for the first time in program history. His defensive line aided the Titans’ performance in recording 43 turnovers and 23 sacks. UW-Oshkosh ranked third in the country with 27 interceptions, and fifth with 16 fumble recoveries and 12.7 points allowed per game.

In 2015 the Titans ranked third in the NCAA Division III in red-zone efficiency defense (.538) and fourth in points allowed per game (11.2). UW-Oshkosh allowed just six fourth quarter points during the entire 13-game season and produced three shutouts during the same year for the first time since 1933.

Angeletti coached the linebackers at UW-Oshkosh in 2001 and 2002. He then spent the next six years coaching football and wrestling at Shelton High School in Shelton, Conn. Angeletti returned to UW-Oshkosh in 2009 to coach the linebackers.

The Derby, Conn., native earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University in 1996. He then received a master’s degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2003.

Angeletti and his wife, Kim, live in Oshkosh with their daughter, Livi, and son, Dominic.
