Titans Own Two WIAC Football Player Of The Week Winners

The WIAC recognized a pair of UW-Oshkosh football players for their performances in the Titans' 30-27 triple-overtime victory at 15th-ranked UW-Platteville on Nov. 15.

UW-Oshkosh linebacker Reese Dziedzic was chosen by the league as its Defensive Player of the Week and punter Nate Ray as its Special Teams Player of the Week. UW-La Crosse running back Ben Hertrampf was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week.

Dziedzic totaled 12 tackles and recovered a fumble to lead a UW-Oshkosh defense that held UW-Platteville to just 10 points through regulation.

Dziedzic's tackle count included six solos. He had three solo and two assisted tackles in the second quarter, two solo tackles in the fourth quarter and two assisted tackles in overtime.

Dziedzic stopped a UW-Platteville drive by recovering a third-quarter fumble at the UW-Oshkosh 35-yard line.

Ray averaged 42.4 yards on five punts to help keep the field position in UW-Oshkosh's favor for most of regulation.

Ray's longest punt was a 57-yard boot in the first quarter. He also had 47-yard punts in both the third and fourth quarters.

The NCAA Division III's leading punter finished the contest with two punts inside the 20-yard line.
