Ray Wins WIAC Special Teams Player Of The Week Award

UW-Oshkosh punter Nate Ray was named the WIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance during the Titans' 21-18 football victory over UW-La Crosse on Oct. 11.

Ray averaged 43.3 yards on six punts, including a 52-yard boot in the first quarter. The WIAC's leading punter also had kicks of 47 and 45 yards.

Ray had one punt that was downed at the 10-yard line and another that went for a touchback.

Ray, who also serves as the Titans' placekicker, converted his lone extra-point attempt.

The WIAC selected a pair of UW-Platteville players for its other weekly awards – running back Andy Puccini on offense and lineman Andrew Robinson of defense.
