Titans Sweep WIAC Weekly Baseball Awards

UW-Oshkosh first baseman Andy Brahier and pitcher Nick McLees received WIAC Baseball Player of the Week awards for their performance in games played April 9-15.

Brahier was named the league's Position Player of the Week after hitting .545 (6-11) with three runs scored and two runs batted in as UW-Oshkosh compiled a 1-2 record in games against UW-Whitewater and UW-Stevens Point.

Brahier hit safely in all three contests and recorded percentages of .545 for slugging and .615 for on-base.

During UW-Oshkosh's split of a doubleheader at second-ranked UW-Whitewater on April 11, Brahier went 3-for-5 with two runs scored during an 8-7 loss and 2-for-3 with one run scored and one run batted in during a 6-2 win.

Brahier also went 1-for-3 with one run batted in during the Titans' 5-3 home loss to UW-Stevens Point on April 12.

McLees was selected as the conference's Pitcher of the Week. He allowed five hits and two runs to earn the complete-game victory during UW-Oshkosh's 6-2 win over UW-Whitewater.

McLees pitched all nine innings against the Warhawks and recorded five strikeouts with two walks. He faced just 32 batters, five over the minimum, and allowed only one extra-base hit.
