Grimm Selected WIAC Baseball Position Player Of The Week

The WIAC has named UW-Oshkosh catcher Taylor Grimm as its Baseball Position Player of the Week for games played March 5-11.

Grimm hit a team-leading .667 (4-6) with two home runs, one double and five runs batted in as UW-Oshkosh won both games of a doubleheader against 17th-rankd University of St. Thomas (Minn.) on March 10 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn.

Grimm also scored three runs during the doubleheader while recording a slugging percentage of 1.833 and an on-base percentage of .667.

In UW-Oshkosh's 4-3 victory in game one, Grimm went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run and a bases-loaded double. His sixth-inning double gave the Titans a 4-0 lead.

During the Titans' 6-3 win in game two, Grimm went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and a solo home run. His home run that led off the second inning cut UW-Oshkosh's deficit to 2-1.

UW-La Crosse's Mason McMahon was chosen as the WIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
