Titans Sweep WIAC Weekly Baseball Awards

UW-Oshkosh's Dylan Ott and Colan Treml received WIAC Baseball Player of the Week awards for their performance in games played Feb. 19 - March 4.

Ott, an outfielder, was named the conference's Position Player of the Week while the right-handed throwing Treml was selected as the league's Pitcher of the Week.

Ott hit a team-leading .500 (6-12) with a triple, two home runs and seven runs batted in as UW-Oshkosh opened its season with a 1-2 record in Westfield, Ind.

Ott scored two runs during the three games while recording a slugging percentage of 1.167 and an on-base percentage of .500. He hit safely in all three contests, including a 3-for-5 performance with a solo home run and a run-scoring single during UW-Oshkosh's 14-10 loss to Transylvania University (Ky.) on Feb. 25.

Ott also went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple and a sacrifice fly in UW-Oshkosh's 9-1 victory over Transylvania University and smashed a two-run home run during the Titans' 5-4 loss to Wabash College (Ind.) on Feb. 24.

Treml pitched seven strong innings during his first start of the season as UW-Oshkosh defeated Transylvania University, 9-1, on Feb. 24.

Treml struck out nine batters and gave up one run on five hits to pick up the victory. He faced 27 batters, just six over the minimum, while allowing just one baserunner over the first three innings. Treml recorded a pair of strikeouts in both the fourth and fifth frames.
