Kozlowski, Sindles Gain WIAC Baseball Honorable Mention
Shortstop Tyler Kozlowski and pitcher Travis Sindles received honorable mention on the 2014 All-WIAC Baseball Team.
Kozlowski, a sophomore, led the Titans with 48 hits while starting all 36 games. He totaled a .345 batting average with eight doubles, 23 runs, 26 RBI and 12 stolen bases.
Kozlowski ended the season on an 11-game hitting streak. He counted seven games with three hits, including a five-RBI contest at UW-Platteville. Kozlowski drove in three runs during the 6-5 win over St. Norbert College.
Sindles, a senior, compiled a 3-3 record and 4.53 ERA in eight appearances. He struck out 37 batters over 43.2 innings.
In back-to-back starts during April, Sindles posted a career-high nine K. He allowed just one run in a complete-game victory over UW-Superior on April 7.
Sindles concludes his 29-game career with a 9-5 record and 4.60 ERA. He totaled two complete games, two saves and 92 strikeouts in 123.1 innings.
The All-WIAC Team featured 20 players, including six from UW-Whitewater. Taylor Kohlwey (UW-La Crosse) and Mikole Pierce (UW-Whitewater) shared Player of the Year, while Luke Watson (UW-Stevens Point) received Pitcher of the Year. The Warhawks' John Vodenlich was named Coach of the Year.
UW-Oshkosh finished the season with a 17-19 record.
