Titan Pride Displayed In New Wrapped Bus

The UW-Oshkosh athletics program will feature a new look when its teams take to the road during the 2019-20 academic year.

UW-Oshkosh, in partnership with Lamers Bus Lines, Inc., created a Titan-specific wrapped coach bus that will be utilized by nearly 500 student-athletes.

The wrap was designed by UW-Oshkosh’s University Marketing & Communications and builds off the ‘Titans Are Champions’ theme. The school’s website address (uwoshkoshtitans.com) and 47 national team championships are also printed on the bus.

The maiden voyage for UW-Oshkosh’s new wrapped bus will be taken by the women’s soccer team on Aug. 28. The bus will take the Titans to General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee for their season-opening trip to Texas.

“Women’s soccer is very excited and honored to have the first ride in the new Titan bus,” said head women’s soccer coach Erin Coppernoll. “We are always excited to ‘wear our colors’ and play with pride for UW-Oshkosh, and now we get to ‘ride in pride’ too. It will be a very exciting start to our season and our trip to Texas.”

The men’s and women’s cross country teams will also be early users of the new bus. Head cross country coach Eamon McKenna is thankful to Lamers for allowing this opportunity for UW-Oshkosh's student-athletes.  

“The UW-Oshkosh cross country teams are very excited to kick off the 2019 season in our new ‘Titans Are Champions’ bus thanks to our partnership with Lamers Bus Lines,” said McKenna. “UW-Oshkosh student-athletes have had a lot of success over the years and it means a lot to us that Lamers was willing to work with us to allow our current Titans to ride in style while recognizing the championship mentality that we possess here at this university.”
