UW-Oshkosh Award For Academic Achievement Includes 32 Honorees

Thirty-two UW-Oshkosh student-athletes were named as the 2017 recipients of the UW-Oshkosh Award For Academic Achievement.

The first-year award, which publicly recognizes academic achievement of UW-Oshkosh student-athletes, is based solely on academic merit. 

To be eligible, student-athletes must own a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least of 3.50 and have a minimum of two seasons of participation in his or her sport prior to graduation. This year’s group of award winners graduated from UW-Oshkosh during the 2016-17 academic year.

A total of 220 UW-Oshkosh student-athletes compiled a GPA of 3.00 or better during the 2016-17 academic year, including 111 who achieved a 3.50 mark or higher. The assembly also featured 14 student-athletes who had a perfect 4.00 GPA during the fall and spring semesters.
