241 Titans Mentioned On WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll

The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) recognized 241 UW-Oshkosh student-athletes for achieving a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) or higher during the 2015-16 academic year.

All 21 of the UW-Oshkosh programs were represented on the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, with 127 student-athletes coming from the 11 women’s teams and 114 from the 10 men’s squads. Student-athletes in multiple sports were counted only once.

UW-Oshkosh had eight student-athletes earn a perfect 4.00 GPA – Haley Bayreuther from softball; Jordan Carpenter from men’s cross country and track & field; Valene Knutson from women’s gymnastics; Samantha Kuik from women’s golf; Ashley Neustifter from women’s basketball; Ryan Paulick from men’s track & field; Kayla Priebe from women’s golf; and Rebecca Slick from women’s track & field. UW-Oshkosh had 10 more student-athletes surpass a 3.90 GPA.

Overall, UW-Oshkosh student-athletes combined for a 2.956 GPA. The women’s golf team led the way with a 3.453 mark, while women’s cross country followed at 3.411, women’s basketball at 3.317, softball at 3.261 and women’s soccer at 3.236.
