Bickett Resigns As UW-Oshkosh Tennis Coach

UW-Oshkosh Director of Athletics Darryl Sims announced Monday (July 20) that Daniel Bickett has resigned after one year as the school’s head men’s and women’s tennis coach.

This past season, Bickett coached the UW-Oshkosh women’s tennis team to a 10-12 record and a fourth-place finish in the WIAC standings. He led the UW-Oshkosh men's tennis squad to a 7-15 record.

Bickett leaves UW-Oshkosh to pursue other interests.

“I’m grateful for all of Daniel’s contributions to the UW-Oshkosh athletics program,” said Sims. “He is a terrific individual and I wish him all the best as he seeks a new opportunity. Daniel’s positive spirit and outlook will be missed.”

Bickett received both his bachelor’s (2010) and master’s (2012) degrees from UW-Whitewater. The Houston, Texas, native played the 2006-07 tennis season at UW-Whitewater before serving as an assistant coach for the Warhawks from 2007-13.

Bickett came to UW-Oshkosh after one year as the Director of Tennis at Premier Tennis & Fitness in Janesville.

Sims said a search for Bickett’s replacement would begin immediately.
