Divers Compete At UW-Stevens Point Invitational

UW-Oshkosh's Halle Aldrich and Zach Seelman both placed 10th in the one-meter diving at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 17-18).

UW-Oshkosh, which sent just four divers to the meet, finished fourth in the men's standings and fifth in the and women's.

UW-La Crosse won the men's division with 1,095 points, while UW-Stevens Point placed second with 1,085.5 and UW-Oshkosh fourth with 13. UW-La Crosse captured the women's title with 1,194.5 points, while UW-Eau Claire finished second with 829.5 and UW-Oshkosh fifth with 23.

Aldrich finished 10th in both diving competitions. She scored 324.20 points on the three-meter board and 305.05 on the one-meter plank.

Seelman counted a score of 252.80 for 10th place in the one-meter event. He then finished 11th at three meters with 226.65 points.

Colleen Barnstable and Nicole Morris also competed for the Titans. Morris placed 14th with 281.95 points at one meter and 15th with 243.40 at three meters, while Barnstable took 13th with 259.25 points at three meters and 17th with 260.65 at one meter.

UW-La Crosse’s Justin Bublitz won both men’s diving events with scores of 500.20 at one meter and 476.85 at three meters.

UW-Eau Claire’s Sara Axness captured the women’s one-meter diving with 446.60 points. UW-La Crosse’s Tessa Kahring earned the three-meter title with 441.25 points.

The Titans travel to Lake Forest College (Ill.) for a dual meet on Saturday (Jan. 25).
